Today, we continue where we left off before Christmas with the latter half of day two at Disneyland. It's almost embarrassing when I think about the fact that this trip was about four weeks ago and I'm still only on day two! Kinda pathetic, really.
Rather than mentally berating myself for that, though, my guess is that you're here to see pictures and not some sad, sorry story about my aptitude (or lack thereof) in keeping up with the steady stream of pictures resulting from the holiday season. So, while you look at these pics, I'll just hide off in the background and sob quietly to myself. You just go ahead and have fun!
Let's start with our visit to Santa's temporary Disneyland headquarters where Grandma took advantage of a photo op on his sleigh.
Since we were there, Mommy and Daddy got in on the sleigh action, as well.
Kyle was very excited to see the reindeer. He loves animals!
I think this one was Prancer, but it's so hard to tell. They all look alike to me.
Kyle was less interested in getting a picture with Mrs. Claus. After all, she doesn't bring the presents. One day, I'll have to explain the whole "behind every great man..." concept to Kyle. Maybe then he'll appreciate the Mrs. a bit more.
Kyle also had no interest in getting a picture with Snow White. Grandma did a great job keeping her from feeling slighted, though.
He wasn't all that thrilled about meeting Sleeping Beauty either, but at least she was blonde....not like that Snow White lady. You'd think with a name like "Snow White" she wouldn't be a brunette.
Ah! The moment he had been talking about since we arrived at Disneyland! Cinderella!!
Though he maintains a cool exterior, Cinderella was the first character that Kyle got down and ran to. Truly, this must be love!
Oh, we won't soon forget this one! I think Kyle may file this one under the fairy tale category of "True Love's First Kiss."
He'll never want to wash his face again. Her kiss is still there. He'll cherish it forever. (Too bad Mommy and Daddy do that baths...his face gets washed anyway. Oh, well. He still has the picture to remember the moment by.)
We came across some live music over in Tomorrowland. Kyle had to get out on the dance floor with Mommy and Grandma.
Mommy's got a really great dance partner. He knows all the steps!
*Whew!* What a great show!
Not sure if you can see it, but it's snowing on Main Street!
Unfortunately, this one doesn't really do justice to how nicely decorated and lit up Main Street was during Christmas time. It
Here's another shot with the Christmas tree lit up and the floodlights on. Just to give you a better idea of what it was like. So, we conclude our second day at Disneyland. It was great fun and I'm betting it won't be our last trip to the House of the Mouse.
Come back again tomorrow for more pictures of our third and final day there. We'll look at our breakfast with the characters, a trip through Disney California Adventure park and then a final peak at the main park with Kyle showing of some skills he learned in Tomorrowland.
Until next time.... TTFN.
