Our third day at Disneyland started out with our "Breakfast with the Characters" at the Disneyland Hotel, just outside the park. We walked over to Goofy's Kitchen where we would have brunch as various characters came and visited our table for pictures, hugs, high-fives and all that.
Honestly, I don't think it quite met our expectations as Kyle was not entirely himself and was a little on the cranky side. Plus, because of where we were seated, we were not really visited as often by different characters and eventually had to say something to the manager about how few characters had been over there.
In the end, we did manage to get some decent pictures and see some more characters, though few that Kyle recognized. I'd still consider doing this again when he is a bit older and can probably enjoy it more.
And now....on with the pictures...

As we were waiting for our name to be called, Grandma got a photo op with Kyle by the Christmas tree in the waiting area.
It can be very difficult for a two-year-old to understand that the presents under this particular tree are not his to open. Besides, I'm guessing he would have been somewhat disappointed if he were to see the contents. Air, while necessary for life, just doesn't seem like much fun.
We were trying to get him to pose by the tree. But, again, two-year-olds don't like to stay still for long.
Once our name was called, we got to get a picture with Pluto on our way in.
Mommy's excited to see Goofy. I think Kyle was a bit intimidated to see how tall Goofy really is in real life!
A couple of the characters gathered a crowd as they did some dancing.
Though Kyle is not familiar with Mulan, he probably figures that a princess is a princess and they're all worth kissing if one should have the opportunity to do so.
Mulan was quite taken with our little man. He seems to have this affect on people for some reason. He has a very magnetic personality.
Goofy handed out pots and pans for the kids to help bang on. Kyle tried it a couple times, but just didn't get all that excited about it.
However, when it was time to clean up, guess who was jumping in and picking up the toys! Can you spell OCD?
Another character that Kyle was not very familiar with was Dale. But, hey, he's a chipmunk. A chipmunk is an animal. Kyle loves animals. So, Dale gets a kiss from Kyle. See how that all works?
Kyle has no clue who Aladdin is, but was gracious enough to allow him to take a picture with him.
One of the happiest moments of the morning for Kyle, and one of Mommy's most dreaded moments, was rolling around on the floor in his nice white shirt.
With Daddy's help, Goofy wasn't quite so high up any more. This was far more acceptable.
Baloo was pretty big too. It's been a while since Kyle has seen the Jungle Book, but I think that with his love for music, he and Baloo will become fast friends.Well, that's all for the Disney breakfast. Stay in touch for more pictures of the rest of the day at Disney California and back over to Tomorrowland to see some "street performers" and some live music.
Until then, go ahead and wish upon a star!
TTFN!
