Hide 'n Seek

It never ceases to amaze me how children process things differently when they do not have the benefit of all the presuppositions we have as adults. How wonderful would it be to address many of the problems and questions we have as adults with the perspective and purity of a child?

Take, for instance, one particular toddler that I am personally somewhat fond of...my son. (Yeah, I'm sure you're really surprised I was going there, weren't you?) We shared, a while back, some pictures of his Thomas the Tank Engine bed. Well, you probably noticed in those pictures that there is a little toy chest at the front of the bed.

Being all growed up, like I am, I suffered from a lack of imagination with respect to this toy chest. Like many other people who currently lack that child-like innocence, I assumed that hit was a foregone conclusion that this was for putting toys in. I hadn't reallly thought about any other uses for this toy chest.

My, oh my, how limited was my thinking and my imagination? Fortunately, Kyle readily showed me that there is more than one way to use this feature on his bed.
