Strange and Unexpected

Imagine my surprise when I looked at my e-mail this morning and saw a message from The Carrington Family blog. The reason for the surprise is because I actually didn’t write a post yesterday, so I was not expecting anything at all to be sent. But that was not the end of the weirdness.

What was even more surprising was the contents. You probably saw it, too. A familiar looking post referring to a poll available on the blog regarding how these posts are delivered to your inbox or feed readers. Something strange was afoot. I was beginning to have some deja vu.

I decided to check, just to see, where in the scheme of things that particular “repeat post” was followed by about 24 subsequent posts and yet, for some reason, this one was repeated. With Google’s Feedburner being a free service, I guess you get what you pay for.

Now, of course, the next concern is, is everyone going to get this message tomorrow? Or is Feedburner going to randomly choose some other posting from weeks past and send it out instead? Hopefully, this was a one-time glitch. But, if it does happen again sometime, I ask that you simply chuckle politely to yourself, perhaps shake your head and maybe mutter something like, “Oh, that silly Feedburner.”

Moving forward, let’s look forward to more fun and interesting posts relating things like how this morning, Kyle was making a weird noise in the car and he told me that he was “making raspberries.” I guess Judy taught him to make raspberries. Another one of those laugh-out-loud moments in the life of a parent. I know, that had little to do with this post, but it was funny and I didn’t figure I could make a whole separate post out of it.

TTFN!
