We were able to get tickets through Mommy’s work and we sat in the Picnic Pavilion where they had all-you-can-eat hot dogs (which was probably a good thing since they were kinda small), popcorn, peanuts, chips, bottled water and a soda fountain.
Kyle had a great time. And Mommy got to hold her principal’s little baby (just a couple months old) so she got a bit of a baby –fix while waiting for Kaitlyn to arrive. Meanwhile, Kyle was enjoying the game, the peanuts, the music and all the clapping and cheering.
Kyle wasn’t really paying attention to the camera, but at least he gave Mommy a wave (thought he wasn’t looking.)
Finally, he looked at Mommy long enough to take a quick shot!
Kyle had to show everyone that he got a bag of peanuts. Apparently, if you don’t have peanuts, you have not officially attended a baseball game.
Hot dog…check. Peanuts…check. Juice box? Ummm….check.
And he was rather enjoying those peanuts, too.
This was our view, from out in left-center field.
Here’s what happens when you tell an almost three-year-old boy to pose for a picture. (Pepere, note that he does at least have the correct team’s shirt on…that would be the winning team.)
I loved this picture. How cute is that? A little boy watching a baseball game. It just doesn’t get much more quintessentially American than that.
