For the longest time, I’ve said that with all of the pink and frilly-foo-foo stuff decorating Kaitlyn’s room that she’d end up growing up to be a tom-boy. I’m still convinced that this will be the case. One more bit of evidence for this lies in one of the ways she takes after her big brother…capes.
Yes, that’s right. She loves to wear capes. Usually she drapes it over her shoulder and then holds it there with her chin as she walks around with it. Other times, we take one of the shorter ones (that she won’t trip over) and put it on her properly.

Firefighter for a Day
It’s always great to have friends in the Fire Dept. when you’ve got kids. Especially when their station is nice and close to home. We got to take advantage of that recently. Well…Kyle did, anyway. He got to spend some time with our friend Matt at hi his station.
He got to climb up on the truck, on the ladder, in the bucket. He got to hear the alarm, which was less loud than we imagined, and got to hear one of the fans they use for certain jobs, which was much louder than we imagined.
